Skateboard

Michael took delivery of his first skateboard, yesterday. Today we went down to the river to practice.
His first steps were tentative, but after a couple of hours, and some tutoring from a couple of neighbourhood boys, he was much more comfortable. The Mutant-Ninja-Turle-style pillow strapped to the back was his idea — he was worried about falling and hurting his back.

For some reason I love these, great memories for you all of what looks like a great day. I once sat on a skateboard and took it down a hill. The first few times were ok, but then our neighbour opened his gates to see what kept crashing into them...I ended up in his garage. Wish I’d had a pillow.
